The archeologist Élvio Sousa said:

“I want to express my sincere gratitude for the honor of being chosen for the award for archaeology european co-operation.
I hope this approach and this award is a “gateway” to a stronger cooperation between our countries, united in the past and present history.

Today, the medieval and the post-medieval archaeology opens  the fabulous world about the everday life in the 15th and 16th centuries.

Indeed, Madeira has at its past history, a singular field of research for understanding the past and a remarkable moment that was the Portuguese Discoveries.

The Council for Kentish archeology is a federation with much prestige in England as well as its chairman Brian Philp, a specialist in urban and rescue archeology .
I am very delighted to receive this award and I hope that next year we can present the first publishing project on the archaeological research.”
